Ahoy and welcome back to Anime Parlay. Here at Anime Parlay, we think it’s wildly important to celebrate victories and milestones with great fervor. It’s with that thought that I would like to pat myself on the back for finishing the week strong. I know I only started this week but again, I love getting satisfaction for the little things. Such as life should be.
All joking aside, I have a working schedule for posts. Since I have the time and creativity, my goal is to throw a post up Monday through Friday. That’s almost a full time job! Months of inaction, brainstorming, and self-doubt have really helped set the stage and I can’t wait to share it with anyone who is interested. As it stands, I have no review format. No criteria to judge these shows. Luckily I am married to a teacher and can bounce some ideas off of her. So be prepared for some more information on that.
As for the old DVDs I am going to bust out, I have a big ol’ list of DVDs to go through. Here are just a few titles that I have that I plan on covering, in depth, eventually:
- Big O (Season 1 and 2)
- Cowboy Beebop
- Le Chevalier D’Eon
- Romeo X Juliet
- Fate: Stay Night
- Fruits Basket
- The Irresponsible Captain Tylor (and the OVA)
- The Familiar of Zero (Season 1)
- Kino’s Journey (Season 1)
- Shakugan no Shana
- Slayers, Slayers Next, Slayers Try
- Please Teacher (Hmm…)
- Please Twins
- Sakura Wars
- The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Season 1 and 2)
- Ouran High School Host Club
- Neon Genesis Evangelion (You know I got that Platinum!)
- Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny
- Gundam Wing
- Jing: King of Bandits
- Gundam 0083
- Gundam: The 8th MS Team
- Zeta Gundam
- Inuyasha (Season 1 and 2, before I realized they’ll never kill Naraku)
- Rurouni Kenshin
- Full Metal Panic
- I My Me Strawberry Eggs
- Eden of the East
- Gurren Lagann
- Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo
- Ai Yori Aoshi (and the OVA)
- Ceres Celestial Legend
As you can see, I have a lot to sort through. These were just the shows that I was flirting with watch again. I am also debating newer shows but more to follow on that action.
If you randomly found this blog on Twitter or WordPress or whatever, I appreciate you stopping in. This blog is an ever growing project. While still in its fledgling state, I am happy to just be on the computer writing. So any sort of anything feels good and I’ll be sure to pay it forward. FEELS GOOD MAN! Thank you for being here.
AMV of the Week
Every Friday, we’re going to wrap up the week, just like this, but more in-depth as I build more content. We have time! However, we just have to end the week with music. So let’s do it.
This one is called Hearts On Ice by user MinetChan on YouTube. I have the privilage to attend Sakura Con in Seattle last year and I had a blast. Honestly, I was the first time, in a long time, that I was feeling more like myself. This video in particular really captured my heart. I too have someone who believes in my the way that Victor believes in Yuri and that is MAGIC! Give some love to those folks in your life this weekend that challenge you to be the best of yourself. I know I will as soon as she gets home. Enjoy and we’ll see you next week! Adios!
